Admiral
William Ross was a key figure in the war between the Alpha
Quadrant and the Dominion. In early
2374, Admiral Ross promoted Captain Sisko to serve as his
adjutant, transferring command of the Defiant to Lieutenant
Commander Jadzia Dax ("Behind the Lines"). Admiral Ross
also presided over the signing ceremony that ended the Dominion
War.
